As the majestic national anthem played, the Five-Starred Red Flag was raised steadily. Teachers and students stood solemnly, paying their respects, with feelings of patriotism and collective pride stirring within their hearts, marking the beginning of a new week of campus life.

Focusing on “the power of reflection,” Ms. Sunny and Mr. Nate delivered a speech under the flag. They described reflection as a gentle mirror — one that clearly shows our footprints and also guides the way forward. After class, reviewing key points solidifies what you’ve learned. After interacting with others, reflecting on the details of a conversation helps build more harmonious relationships. When facing difficulties, bravely acknowledging our shortcomings strengthens our resolve to grow.
Following the speeches, the ceremony proceeded to the award presentation segment. For the 2026 “Aesthetic Education Chinese Speech,” Claire Liang from P6E was awarded the Special Gold Star, P6C Aaron Xuan and P3A Joanna Zhang were awarded the Gold Star. Principal Meng presented the awards to them. At the 2026 Global Youth English Public Speaking Competition , P2D Fetty Wang was awarded the Excellence Award. Principal Ma presented the award to her.

The national flag flutters high; the speech inspires our aspirations; the awards honor our actions.May we grow through reflection, light our way with self-awareness, move steadily forward through time, and become the best versions of ourselves.

In the bright and gentle spring, we embrace the beautiful month of April. On the morning of April 7th, all teachers and students gathered in the playground for a flag-raising ceremony themed “The Power of Reflection.”
