Inquiry Curriculum

As an IB School inquiry-based studies are embedded across much of our curriculum. Nowhere is inquiry-based learning more evident than in our Science, Topic, Philosophy for Children (P4C) and PBL courses.

Science

Our Science curriculum builds upon children’s’ natural curiosity about the World. By developing their scientific inquiry skills, language, knowledge, and practical skills they need, students are able to develop into logical thinkers and apply this to their future studies and their life. We deliver the local Science curriculum bilingually, in order for students to seamlessly link with their iGCSE and IBDP Science subjects later in their school life.

Topic

Topic covers the humanities and links it to social studies through a student-centered and student-driven approach. Students discover more about the world around them, as well as their pasts. Topic students build up strategies to enable them to ask the right questions and to know where and how to find the answers.

Philosophy for Children

P4C is a inquiry that aims to teach students the skills of reasoning and argumentative thinking. P4C helps our students to share their ideas and balance them against others. P4C has a knock on effect into other subjects, helping students to be braver and teaching them the importance of independent thought.
