On September 20, 2025, our high school expat teachers gathered for an inspirational workshop led by [IBDP coordinator, Andrew Wright], to unveil how artificial intelligence is reshaping the classroom experience. At WUIS, AI has moved beyond being a buzz phrase and has now found its place as a practical tool transforming classrooms across our IGCSE, A-Level, and IB Diploma programmes. Educators and students are actively integrating AI to enrich teaching and learning. Tools like ClassPoint AI, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, and Edcafe AI are sparking curiosity, boosting interaction, and enabling personalized learning experiences. This shift helps reduce student disengagement, increase participation, and empower teachers to adapt instruction to meet a wide range of learner needs. Here are some highlights that were captured during the sessions.
Our Music Teacher (Mr. Anthony Leedale) presents during the collaborative AI session with visible tech tools.
Mr. Leedale has used the Al in conjunction with other ICT tools to create his personal website for his music students. There, he has access to teaching and learning resources that were previously nonexistent.
What’s the Buzz About?
The buzz is about how WUIS teachers are incorporating AI into their classrooms. During the sharing and discussion session, the teacher revealed the following:
During the session, we discovered that there are so many different AI-generated tools available, and because teachers are using them, they are no longer futuristic concepts, and teaching is applying them in a compelling way. A Padlet was used as the collaborative workspace. Here are a few teachers’ postings.
Some of the tools teachers are already exploring include Edcate.AI, Classpoint.AI, Brisk.AI, and ChatGPT, among others; each offering intuitive, teacher-friendly solutions that can tailor lessons to suit the learners’ needs.
Why The Workshop Matters
Hands-on strategies to integrate AI into daily practice.
Confidence to personalize learning for every student.
A renewed sense of purpose and possibility.
The AI will not replace teacher, but certainly, it will amplify their impact in the classroom.
During the reflection, some of our teachers posted sessions:

In the image above, our illustrious Co-principal, Dr. Max Caruso, explained that the integration of AI within the classroom should serve the primary purpose of enhancing student learning. This hinges on the idea that AI should not become another shiny new toy for teachers but rather be intentionally leveraged to catalyze students’ academic growth and reduce teacher planning time, allowing them to focus on improving teaching and learning.
Our Computer Science teacher, Ms. Kruthika Sundar, is presenting about her use of Padlet and a host of other tools she has been using.
