On September 26, the campus of Wuxi United International School was filled with warmth and vitality as the mentorship pairing ceremony, themed “Symphony of Blue and Green, Composing a New Chapter,” was grandly held. This was not merely an event, but a passing of the educational torch and the beginning of a journey of mutual growth.
The “Find Your Most Compatible Partner” puzzle game quickly ignited the atmosphere. Teachers holding puzzle pieces printed with the school logo actively communicated, compared, and collaborated amidst laughter to complete the full puzzle. In just five minutes, unfamiliarity melted away, and a sense of unity quietly emerged.
“How to design teaching content based on student profiles?” “How to implement differentiated instruction?” “How to improve text interpretation skills?” Green mentee teachers raised one practical classroom challenge after another, while Blue mentor teachers shared their experience and wisdom. The exchange of ideas and collaborative problem-solving demonstrated the reflective thinking of the young teachers and the guidance expertise of their mentors.
Vice Principal Ms. Rebecca clarified the responsibilities and expectations for both mentors and mentees. School leaders then presented appointment letters to the Blue Mentor teachers
In his concluding address, Principal Mr. Meng highlighted common teaching challenges faced by young educators and proposed practical solutions centered on the principle of “differentiated instruction.” He emphasized the importance of a “trial-and-error” approach to foster genuine student engagement in learning. He also encouraged early-career teachers to take teaching routines seriously and strive to overcome the “three key hurdles”—ensuring high-quality instruction, enhancing professional competence, and mastering core teaching skills—to build a solid professional foundation. Principal Meng expressed deep expectations for the growth of young faculty members, pledging that the school will continue to provide platforms and support to help them rapidly develop into capable teaching professionals, injecting new vitality into Wuxi United’s education.
