In golden autumn, as the new semester begins, the Primary Section of WUIS holds the 3rd Student Council President Election. More than a stage for students to shine, it is a vivid practice of campus democracy and leadership development.

Since its launch, the election has drawn much attention. After intense preliminary competition, grade-level contestants vied with good expression, clear thinking and positivity. Finally, 8 outstanding students stood out with strong overall performance, qualifying for the final to compete for the prestigious “Student Council President” position.
The final had a warm yet solemn atmosphere. The 8 finalists took the stage one by one, delivering campaign speeches confidently. Some spoke passionately, outlining their Student Council plans and visions; others were calm, sharing practical ideas to serve peers and build the campus. Despite different styles, every contestant’s eyes shone with love for Student Council work and sincere enthusiasm to serve classmates.

Voting was crucial to the election. Guided by the host, on-site students read the voting declaration together, vowing to vote fairly for a Student Council President who truly represents all. Later, witnessed by all, staff counted votes intensely yet orderly. Finally, Loreen from P6A and Jimmy from P6C were elected the 3rd Student Council Presidents of WUIS Primary Section, thanks to their solid abilities, clear plans and broad peer support.

As the election ended, school leaders gave honor certificates and awards to winners, recognizing their courage to challenge themselves and show talents. Though only two were elected presidents, the courage and growth of all contestants are worth every student’s learning.

Later, the newly-elected Student Council Presidents gave appointment letters to new members and led them in a solemn inauguration oath. The firm oath not only showed the new members’ strong determination, but also marked a new chapter for WUIS Student Council.

This election not only gave WUIS Primary Section students a platform to showcase themselves and build skills, but also highlighted their youthful spirit of daring to try and break through, injecting new vitality into the Student Council. It is believed that with the new presidents and members’ joint efforts, the Primary Section will enjoy a more harmonious campus atmosphere and richer campus life. Let us look forward to these passionate, responsible teenagers shining in future work, contributing to the school’s development and writing their wonderful chapter!
