In the long history of human civilization, every knowledgeable person is a bright star. They ride on the boat of reading across history to gather the pieces of civilization. Using thinking as a pen, they paint great pictures in science and culture. From ancient wisdom to modern technology, their thoughts spread everywhere. They light up the unknown with their knowledge and power the development of the times with their wisdom. On April 24th , all the primary school teachers and students gathered at the Grand Theatre to discuss the theme of April – “Knowledgeable”.
The students in Grade Two use lively skits and melodious chorus to paint a splendid picture of knowledge, leading us to experience the charm of the ocean of wisdom.
Backbone of a Great Nation
Huang Xuhua, a nuclear submarine expert, knows a lot and is good at many things. He’s skilled in shipbuilding, nuclear power, and submarine design, mixing theory with practice.In the early days of nuclear submarine research, there were many problems. But with his deep knowledge, he led the team to break through key technologies like pressure-resistant hulls and nuclear reactors. He also solved the underwater noise problem in a new way.He’s not only good at technology. Thinking about the country’s strategy, he builds a strong underwater defense for national security. He also trains many talented people with his wisdom. He’s truly the backbone of the country.
Life Safety Education
Life safety is key to our well-being. At this month’s Virtue Assembly, students watched “Safeguarding the Life Line.” Using cartoons and real footage, firefighters and cops taught fire safety, earthquake drills, and traffic rules. With clear demos and tips, students learned practical ways to stay safe.
Student Council
The heads of the student council gave feedback on the important aspects from this month. They praised the students for their good behaviour, and gave expectations and suggestions on how to improve for next month.
The house winner this month was Blue house, the representative of Blue house came to receive their award on stage. Congratulations to Blue house!
Discipline in WUIS
People who have self-discipline have more determination and perseverance, and are more likely to accomplish big dreams. Let self-discipline become a habit for each and every one of us, we will enjoy the harvest and happiness brought by self-discipline, and will eventually become a better version of ourselves. The theme of this month was Discipline. WUISers work hard on self-disciplined and self-improvement, and work tirelessly to become a better version of themselves. This month, 25 students and the class of P5C were selected for the “Discipline in WUIS” prize.

Reading can be like stargazing, illuminating the direction of children’s learning journey. When you listen to a story, you can go on a wonderful journey. In the Warm Night Reading activity, the readers with the best messages received special prizes. These awards not only recognise their passion for reading and creative talents, but also aim to inspire more students to actively participate in reading, creating and thinking.
Art Nurtures, Music, Sports & Art Honors Shine
In 2024, our students shined in multiple competitions. They showed great confidence and skill in Xishan District’s Solo Arts Competition, Wuxi’s School Orienteering Competition, and the 6th “Painting China” contest for foreign students. Their excellent results highlight our school’s success in art and sports education.
Small Five-Year Plan – I Contribute to High-quality Development
In 2024 Wuxi “Small Five-Year Plan – I Contribute to High-quality Development” scientific advice selection activity, the “Suggestions on the Protection and Inheritance of Wuxi’s Local Intangible Cultural Heritage” written by Gehard, Arnold and Adam in Grade 6, tutored by Ms.Miranda, won the first prize in the city.
