In addition, our students can study Theory of Knowledge in either Chinese or in English. The many of our students gain bilingual diplomas. All of our students complete an Extended Essay in a topic of their choosing. Our students also complete CAS, Creativity, Activity and Service which helps them to independently develop the personal skills to excel at university and beyond.
Why do we offer the IB DP?
International research shows that there are many benefits to choosing the DP over other 16-19 curricula. For example:
DP students are better able than their peers to cope with demanding workloads, manage their time and meet the expectations placed on them, according to one study
Analysis of DP students in Canada, the UK and the USA found that the DP’s extended essay improves students’ approach to learning in higher education
72% of students taking the DP in China attend one of the world’s top 500 universities, according to a 2013 study.
This years IB diploma graduates received 1.58 million RMB in scholarship.
Alongside our rigorous curricula we have a whole host of activities and events including Microbiz, World Scholars Cup, NSDA competitions, CAT (computational, algorithmic thinking) to name but a few.
