This is the first week after the graduation of Grade 12 students. Some of them applied for volunteer positions in school to come back and work as community members but with brand new identities.
We have had the following students working with Secondary staff and students to support the busy exam weeks on various tasks.
They are Tina Wang, Kitty Wang, Jingyi Tham, Jack Qian, Felix Zhao, Simon Li and Alan Fang.
I have assisted teachers to do many works in this week, and help some senior students for their Science and Maths. I am so glad that I could come to school again as a volunteer after I graduate.—-Tina
This week I worked as a volunteer in school to help teachers with some chores, including editing the student school WeChat subscriptions, collecting and selecting the school activities’ photos, translating documents and helping junior students with their IB course selection. In the process of accomplishing the jobs, I experienced and really appreciated the hard work of teachers and the school management. I benefited so much from the interaction with the staff members.—-Kitty
I am very lucky to have the opportunity experiencing assisting school work. I am no longer a student, but an alumni in the school. I helped from junior students on school work, assisted PE lessons, provided shoulder for junior students to cry on, until preparation for the end of semester examination week.—-Jingyi
During this week of my volunteer life, it was a absolutely pleasure to be able to help teachers in a daily basis. Like help translating some materials, help organize some events. And share some of my study experience to the lower grades. Overall, being a volunteer was a really joyful experience.—-Felix
