Our “Travel the World” parent–child navigation sports event combined courage-building, physical fitness, and cultural exploration. By combining classic orienteering with fun challenging stations themed for different countries, we gave children the chance to run free under the sunshine and experienced pure joy—while planting seeds of bravery, independence, perseverance, and open-mindedness in their hearts.
In our toddler class, children touched the rough bark of the trees and felt the vitality of nature. Then, they used crayons and paper to make colorful bark rubbings, freezing the unique beauty of springtime trees in their artwork.
Our K – 1 children and their parents teamed up for a “Creative Tent” challenge. Using recycled newspapers, fabric scraps, and tape; each family designed, cut, and built a one-of-a-kind “springtime hideaway” from ordinary materials.
K-2 children became little nature explorers. They collected fallen leaves, petals, and blades of grass, then arranged them into vibrant botanical collages. With ingenuity and creativity, they pieced together the colors and patterns of spring.
These spring parent–child activities perfectly combined courage training with creative expression. Through outdoor practice, children strengthened their character and skills; through parent-child teamwork, they felt the warmth and deepened family bonds. The activity was a great success!
