In the Yale Tournament of Championship of the World Scholar’s Cup, six students from two teams of Wuxi United International School stepped into the ancient Yale campus and participated in this wonderful international academic exchange. They not only brought back the honor of 1 gold medal and 6 silver medals, but also achieved self-growth and ability improvement during this special journey.
During the preparation period, the six students earnestly accumulated knowledge and repeatedly practiced critical thinking and expression. At the Championship Round Cultural Fair on Yale’s campus, they carefully set up a Chinese cultural booth, took the initiative to introduce Chinese tea culture to students from all over the world, and promoted fine traditional Chinese culture in a relaxed and interesting way, allowing the charm of the East to quietly spread on the foreign campus. Medals are small marks of hard work, and what is more precious is the perseverance they developed during preparation, the vision they broadened through communication, and the valuable friendship they gained through teamwork.
To support students in participating in this event, Wuxi United International School provided comprehensive preparation assistance for them. Teachers formed a guidance team to carry out interdisciplinary knowledge tutoring in history, literature, science, etc., helping students lay a solid foundation. Through mock competitions, summary exchanges and other methods, their expression ability and team collaboration awareness were improved, providing strong support for the students’ performance in the competition.
The experience of this trip to Yale is a vivid embodiment of the school’s educational philosophy of “Integrating Chinese and Western Cultures, Promoting Harmonious Development”. In the future, our school will continue to build an international exchange platform, accompany every student to accumulate in exploration and progress in practice, and encourage them to move towards a broader world with what they have learned and confidence.
