Six years at WUIS: with stars as our compass and courage as our oar, we wove passionate dreams into the verse of youth. Now, at the ferry of time, we gently whisper: Greetings, graduation!
On June 23rd, all Grade 6 students, teachers and school leaders gathered in the Xiehe Parlor for the grand graduation ceremony, “WUIS Weaves Dreams, Stars Illuminate the Future.” Parents also joined to witness this solemn occasion.
Led by Mr. Johnny Yang, the graduates entered the venue amidst applause and eager anticipation, marking the final chapter of their six-year journey.
Principal Mr. Meng Xiaodong opened the ceremony with a heartfelt speech. He commended the graduates for their academic and personal growth while encouraging them to remain curious, embrace challenges, and carry gratitude in their hearts as advocates of multiculturalism. Finally, he wished them boundless futures, urging them to write brilliant new chapters in life.
The screen displayed a carefully edited montage of graduate interviews. Six years had painted a vibrant tapestry, each fragment carrying laughter, tears, and cherished memories.
“Chanting farewell to the past, dancing toward the rising sun.” Grade 6 students delivered spectacular performances, reflecting on bittersweet goodbyes, listening to the confessions of youth, and envisioning infinite possibilities ahead. As they stepped forward with courage, their teachers also sang to convey the warmest blessings.
They say parents are the most devoted ‘spectators’ on their children’s journey—but today, these spectators took on a new role: playful ‘critics.’ The worries hidden in their nagging, the tenderness behind their scolding—all melted into laughter on the screen.
Six years had turned tender children into bright-eyed youths. Throughout this journey, parents had silently stood guard. P6D Sherry’s mother, representing the parents, expressed gratitude to the school for nurturing not only the students but also fostering home-school collaboration through workshops and expert lectures. She wished all graduates radiant futures, urging them to seize their youth.
Principals Mr. Meng Xiaodong, Ms. Angel Lin, Dr. Max Caruso, Vice Principals Mr. Zhou Zuyu, Ms. Ella Zhang, and Dean Chen Ping presented the graduates with diplomas, immortalizing the moment in photos. Each certificate was a badge of six years of learning, a testament to growth. What the principals handed over was not just academic proof but also deep hopes for the future.
Finally, led by Ms. Lucia Na from the middle school department, the graduates exited the hall, ready to embark on new journeys.
Six years at Xiehe, weaving dreams of youth;
Now setting sail, toward boundless galaxies.
May you forever chase the light, and in vaster worlds, shine with your own brilliance!
