When Copernicus pierced millennia of ignorance with a telescope and Wan Hu lit the fire of exploration with his dream of flying to the sky, every stride of human civilization shines with the shadows of explorers. Unfettered by authority or daunted by the unknown, they sail the sea of knowledge with courage as sails and wisdom as oars, braving the waves ahead.During Exploration Month, we trace explorers’ footprints together—starting with curiosity, driven by perseverance, and embarking on our own exploration journey through learning and practice. On May 29, all primary school teachers and students gathered in the grand theater to discuss the theme of May- “Inquirer”.

Welcome to the marvelous journey of “Hello, Space”! Here, the little explorers of P1A transform into interstellar guides, gazing up at the cosmos with young yet determined eyes and taking us to explore the mysteries of space.

“Have too much curiosity to contain? Then channel it into the Philosophical Station · Tianwen Corner! This is a specially designed philosophical dialogue space established in the school’s public area. Since 2019, it has evolved from being led by teachers to being student-managed, gradually fostering a dialogue environment rooted in rationality and a sense of safety and security. Whether you are a teacher, student, parent, or visitor, you can express your opinions here and respond to others’ ideas, helping us grow together into wiser and more reflective individuals.”
Nicolaus Copernicus was a great explorer of the universe. Living in an era dominated by the deeply entrenched “geocentric theory,” he boldly proposed the “heliocentric theory” based on long-term observations and rigorous calculations. In the face of pressure from authority and traditional concepts, he steadfastly upheld the spirit of scientific inquiry. His book On the Revolutions of the Heavenly Spheres revolutionized academic paradigms, igniting a torch for humanity’s exploration of the universe and paving the way for a new journey of science. Through decades of meticulous observations and bold theoretical breakthroughs, Copernicus demonstrated the monumental power of the spirit of exploration.

This is not only a recognition of everyone’s hard work but also a platform for students to express their ideas and suggestions to the principal, enhancing mutual understanding and communication between teachers and students. Such activities not only enrich campus life but also inspire more students to actively participate in studies and activities.
Hard work is rewarded, and industries can excel with hard work. Through diligence, we can improve our ability and realise our personal value. In history, countless figures have written brilliant chapters of their lives with their diligence. Such as Thomas Edison, who conducted thousands of tests before inventing the electric light; and Beethoven, who still insisted on creating music after losing his hearing, leaving behind musical masterpieces. These typical examples tell us that diligence is the key to realising dreams. The theme of this month was Diligence, WUISers should be hardworking display diligence and perseverance in order to be a better version of themself. This month, 25 students and the class of P1B were selected for the “Diligence in WUIS” prize.
