Hello everyone! I’m Kenny’s Mom, my name is Lulu. Today, I will share an interesting story Make A Rainbow with you.
Hope you’ll like it.
The early morning rain had left the springtime meadow soggy, dull and grey…leaving Little Nutbrown Hare and his friend Little Field Mouse without room to play.
L (Little Nutbrown Hare): “Wake up Big Nutbrown Hare, guess what we are doing.”
B (Big Nutbrown Hare): “Are you waking me up? It’s very early.”
L: “No. We’re hiding!”
B: “Who are you hiding from?”
L: “We’re hiding from the rain.”
B: “And why are you hiding from the rain?”
L: “Because the rain is all cold and wet.”
B: “Oh, I see. You are right, it is cold and wet.”
L: “I wish the rain would go away. We want to go and pick some pretty flowers in the sun.”
B: “But without rain, Little Nutbrown Hare, there wouldn’t be any pretty new flowers to pick. Flowers need rain just as much as the they need sunshine.”
M (Little Filed Mouse): “Look! The rain is hiding from us in this puddle. Got you, haha!”
L: “There’s something else hiding in the puddle.”
M: “No, it’s hiding in the clouds!”
L: “A rainbow!”
M: “There’s orange!”
L: “And yellow like the sun!”
M: “There’s green like the leaves, and blue like the sky! Oh! There’s red like the strawberry!”
L: “It’s the most colorful thing I’ve ever seen. We should show it to Big Nutbrown Hare!”
But by the time they returned, the rainbow disappeared!
B: “Rainbows only appear when the sun comes out after the rain. But only some times. That’s why they are so special!”
M: “Where has it gone?”
B: “It’s probably hiding now.”
L: “If the rainbow is just hiding, then we should go and find them. We can find all the colors of the rainbow in the meadow.”
L: “Do we have all the colors of the rainbow now?”
M: “No, we are missing violet.”
L: “I know where we can find it.”
Big Nutbrown Hare did find some violet blossoms for us!”
L: “Wake up! We want to show you the rainbow that we found!”
B: “Oh, there’re red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. It’s the most colorful things I’ve ever seen.”
And so that day, Little Nutbrown Hare and Little Filed Mouse learnt that even the dullest days could be brightened up with a little imagination.
