Candy has built a strong academic foundation throughout her five years at WUIS. She has demonstrated perseverance and remarkable musical potential by practicing the piano for 12 years. All of these efforts have been rewarded with an invitation letter from a pool of 22,000 applicants. We genuinely hope she is able to realize her Oxford ambition!
The University of Oxford is a collegiate research university in Oxford, England. There is evidence of teaching as early as 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world’s second-oldest university in continuous operation.
Oxford has educated a wide range of notable alumni, including 28 prime ministers of the United Kingdom and many heads of state and government around the world. As of October 2020, 72 Nobel Prize laureates, 3 Fields Medalists, and 6 Turing Award winners have studied, worked, or held visiting fellowships at the University of Oxford, while its alumni have won 160 Olympic medals.

In QS World University Rankings, it was in 87th. Physics and Astronomy rank 2nd, Chemical Engineering 4th and Computer Science 5th in TIMES University Rankings. The University of Birmingham is very strong in the fields of medicine and biological science, among which the employment rate of biological science major is second only to that of Cambridge University.
