Teachers’ Reading Salon
“Books are the ladder of human progress.”. Nowadays, fragmented reading is full of life. Every reading with a quiet mind is an improvement of ourselves. When we read a good book for the first time, we feel like we have found a friend; When we read this book again, it seems that we meet our old friends again. On April 23, Chinese staff of WUIS primary school gathered to hold a reading sharing meeting of “reading a good book together”. This time, we read a book on how teachers do the task, which is shared by Chinese group, Mathematics group, English group,Topic group and Bilingual group.
First, the Chinese group Ms Tiki from the basic principles of topic selection, found research problems, screening research issues, determined the research topics to share, so as to understand how to choose the appropriate topics, and started a good start to the research.
Then, the Mathematics group, Ms Amber analyzes the value of the project, the content of the project and the analysis of classroom operation.These three parts are classified and integrated, concise and clear, so that we have the guidance of lighthouse for “how to design the subject”.
Then, Ms Yuki of English group introduced “how to successfully declare the subject”, and introduced the application procedure, declaration requirements, application writing and other matters of attention respectively, which makes us feel that the application topic is no longer a complex problem.
Then, the Topic group Ms Una raised several questions: “is the application for the project not the argument of the project? Why is the project approved and the opening argument still needs to be done? What should be demonstrated in the opening argument? How to prove it? “This chapter introduces the chapter “how to do a good job in the opening and argumentation meeting”, and concludes that only by organizing the demonstration carefully with scientific spirit, rigorous attitude and realistic requirements, can the research of the project be carried out smoothly and the high-quality research results can be obtained.
Finally, the Bilingual group, Mr Johnny, introduced the “how to implement the research”, and explained the six parts: getting out of the theoretical mistakes, implementing the research methods, processing the research materials, paying attention to the research ethics, publishing the stage achievements and doing well in the project management.
Close to the end of the reading conference, Ms Ella reviewed and summarized the reading sharing activities today. In a ceremony of World Reading Day, I believe that every teacher will gain a lot in this reading sharing meeting, and there is also a “good teacher and a good friend” in the future research.
