Wuxi United International School has been an Exam center for ASDAN in the eastern China for the last 3 years. We invite your son or daughter to participate in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) 2020, on Saturday 26th September 2020. WUIS encourages students to take part in the various Mathematics competitions and this is one of them.
The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in Australia in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. It has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing students to attempt the same tasks on the same day in over 30 countries around the globe. The Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) is a national not-for-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics for students of all standards. AMT holds mathematics and informatics competitions, administer enrichment activities, conduct workshops for students and teachers, and publish books on mathematical enrichment for Australian and international students. The AMT selects and supports Australia’s international mathematics and informatics Olympiad teams. AMT Committee and ASDAN China have cooperated to bring the AMC to China from 2017. The details about the AMC and link for the self-registration are provided below for Grade 3 to 12 parents and students.
The competition will start at 10:00-11:00（Grade 3-6）, 14:00-15:15（Grade 7-12）, we require all the participants to report to the school half an hour in advance for registration. Parents are responsible for the self-registration and for the student’s journey to and from the school on this Saturday. Past Papers Posters/Brochures are available for enthusiastic participants and can be discussed and collected from Ms. Isa Wei.
