Graduation Ceremony
On 24th May 2019 we, Wuxi United International School, held our third Graduation Ceremony for our IB DP Grade 12 students. The event was attended by the whole school community, parents, students, university counsellors and teachers. We were also pleased to have VIP guests: Jing Wei MENG, Director of Cuipingshan Resort of Xishan, Wuxi, Mr Li Da ZHENG Director of SMD Xiehe, Mr Zhong FAN, Deputy Xishan Education Bureau.
As Ms. Angel, the Co-Principal of the school, said: the early summer of each year is the most colorful and busy time in our school. Walking in the campus, you will feel that growing up is such a wonderful and beautiful thing. The graduates sitting on the stage just finished all their examinations yesterday. We can feel the happiness on their faces, because at this moment, they graduated from high school.
WUIS is now in it’s sixth year and an established IB World School which has been an authorised to offer the IB Diploma Programme, one of the most desirable pre-university level courses.
Our Cohort of IB DP Grade 12 students (26 students) received 115 offers from universities worldwide and received 1.59 million RMBs worth of scholarship money. Some of our students have received offers from Emory University, ranked 21 in the United states.
Some of our Grade 12 students have been at our school for six years. They were our first Grade 7 students.
As an IB World school we work to develop caring, knowledgeable students who will help to create a better place, peaceful and sustainable world, where we live our lives with true respect for our own culture and the culture of others.
