On Wednesday the 6th March 2019 our Primary Pioneer Curriculum Grade 6 students came over to the International Secondary school for a taster of lessons.
The transition from primary to secondary is one of the most important educational steps in a child’s education. Ensuring that this goes smoothly and that educational gains made in the primary school are built upon in the secondary school Grade 7 are paramount. Students who feel safe, secure and have teachers who understand their level excel.
·Integrate curriculum to ensure students build on knowledge taught in the primary school
·Have a dedicated head of grade to support our future grade 7 students
·Collaborative planning between our key subjects, Chinese, Mathematics, English and Science
·Primary and middle school curriculum coordinators collaboratively overviewing the primary to middle school curriculum
·Taster days for primary students to experience secondary school life
·Close collaboration between primary and secondary leadership teams
On Wednesday we gave our Primary Pioneer Grade 6 parents a presentation of our curriculum and management process in our secondary school.
Our students experienced lessons in Mathematics, Science, English and German. They got to meet our Head Students and also got to meet the Grade 7 student ambassadors.
It was a fun day by all.
