Thursday, 13th December, saw good weather as we welcomed SUIS Jiaoke Football team to WUIS.
All players from both team looked anxious before the kickoff. However as a large student crowd gathered, it was WUIS who looked dominant.
With Jiaoke having won their last match 6-0, WUIS had to start well, and we did through an early goal from Chris Kim, which settled the nervous for all players and especially coach Beltrame.
Simon’s amazing free kick really got the WUIS team and supporters excited with a scoreline of 3-0.
A final half in which WUIS played well finished with the score ending 4-1.
Into the second half, Jiaoke definitely came out on top. Their passing and desire to win every tackle was evident. They started to get 2 quick goals to make the score 4-3.
However, WUIS were able to make a fast break and after some fine passing, we broke through the Jiaoke defense for Chris Kim to score again and make the game safe for WUIS.
Final Score – WUIS=5 Jiaoke=3
