118 students participated in the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) on Sep.22nd, 2018, Saturday at Wuxi United International School.
As the Official Exam Center of AMC, participants from Yangzhou and Shanghai gathered in Wuxi for the exciting mathematics competition.
ORIGIN
The Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) is a national non-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics for students of all standards. AMT hold mathematics and informatics competitions, administer
enrichment activities, conducts workshops for students and teachers, and publishes books on mathematical enrichment for Australian and international students. The AMT is based at the University of Canberra with representatives on our board from
the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers, Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Mathematical Society.
The AMT selects and supports Australia’s international mathematics and informatics Olympiad teams.
The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in Australia in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. It has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing students to attempt the same tasks on the same day in over 30 countries around the globe.
AMT Committee and ASDAN China have cooperated to bring the AMC to China from 2017. Around 7600 students from more than 180 schools in China have participated in AMC 2017, and more than 60% of participants received awards.
Exam results will be released in November, 2018 on the official WeChat account of ASDAN. Meanwhile participants will be able to log on the Sign-up website to refer to exam results and participation certificate. Good luck!
