We had our Science Fair today in midst of much enthusiastic participation from the students wherein the students were presenting and explaining the various science projects and experiments and the results they have got. The Science Fair has become a very wonderful experience for the student’s learning by doing and along with providing the understanding of Science which they learn in classroom and in science laboratories.
With some dancing raisins, volcano eruption, fire on water, singing wine glass, catalase activity in yeast, desert ecosystem and rate of diffusion, the Science Fair had it all and has become a huge success and gained its popularity amongst the students and the teachers equally.
With such varied and rich learning experience of Physics, Chemistry and Biology we can proudly say that we see the budding scientists in the making. This year the confidence of the students in explaining the concepts behind their experiments was also a huge boost.
This year we have expanded the student experience by including ‘Robotics’ and ‘Computer Science’, where students were very enthusiastic to showcase the robots they have made in school and the website they have created.
Also in addition to the Science Fair in our school, our students also participated in SUIS Cross Campus Science Fair in Shanghai on 23 May 2018. It was a wonderful exposure to our students to showcase their scientific talent and we are delighted that our school won the second prize in Grades 6 to 8 category amongst all the participating schools in Shanghai.
