Next let’s review teachers’ Elegant manners in class. What did the group leaders say?1、Bilingual GroupThere were lots of shining points among all these lessons. The main line of teacher’s teaching plan was clear and the key points were to be broken throughout skillfully. With a solid and efficient teaching mode, teachers presented students’ learning achievements in a real situation and the linking transition was natural and smooth as well. There was a variety of teaching activities. Students showed great interest in learning and had a wide range of participation.2、English GroupThe curriculum in English group is diversified. Students had fun in various activities.For lower grades, teachers focus on key words and structures in units. Students had lots of fun in participating actively in interesting activities with a great amount of the contextual teaching, which was really appreciated! In English subject, what best exemplifies such learning model—group work and pair work from low grade to high grade.No matter the presentation of students learning achievements or the intense discussion among students, we who observed the lesson were all proud of these students and teachers3、Chinese GroupSix Chinese teachers participated in this competition and their teaching focus was ‘ whole book reading’. Six lessons were different from each other, all with their own strengths. Every teacher spared no effort and tried their best, which could be seen in their preparation and teaching. G1 teachers taught two picture books which were very kid-friendly. In the lessons, teachers led students to constantly guess and associate, which motivated their learning interest to a great extent. G2 teachers approached the same content from different points and presented two integrated lessons, which showed teachers’ own interpretation of the book. Teachers in higher grades focused more on students’ abilities of thinking, communicating and cooperating in the lessons. They designed various reading activities so that children could think and discuss, and also express their opinions on the characters and plots in the book. For lower grades, teachers paid more attention on students’ behavioral habits, and the classroom teaching was in great order. For higher grades, teachers focused on the integrity of the novel, and at the same time they guided the students to read the works from a variety of perspectives, linking with higher-level reading.4、Math GroupIn this competition, all teachers worked really hard on their lead-in part which was conducive to stimulating students’ interest in learning, thus achieving better learning effect. Besides, teachers’ presentation skills showed great improvement, more accurate and vivid, which enlivened the classroom atmosphere more. Meanwhile, teacher’s classroom control ability was investigated. Each link of the class was coherent and compact, and dependent and cooperative learning opportunities were provided so that students could actively participate in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.Although the teaching competition has finished, the exploration of teaching will not end. We are looking forward to the upcoming lesson appraisals in May. Students are the brightest cards for a school and the growth of students is essentially from classroom learning.
