The first Friday at the beginning of the new semester is our traditional Chinese festival ‘Lantern Festival’.
We set up amazing activities, guessing game, tasting tangyuan, to express our festival culture to our students.
All students dressed up the costumes with bright happy colors to come to school on that day. We also decorated our school with lots of colourful lanterns outside of the classroom, within lots of riddles in those. Students are really motivated when they got into the school by seeing the bright lanterns at the south welcome gate. We can feel their excited feeling at that moment and that day. Meanwhile we got to know the knowledge, as well as fairy tales about lantern festival. Do you know the other name of lantern festival? It’s called ‘yuanbao’ means wealth.
The most exciting moment is to guess out the riddles. Look, they sometimes thinking carefully, sometimes discussing considerately. They all tried their efforts to participate not just because the first three students with the most points will be the winner.
