Education is a warm journey, and the Parent Support Group is the most steadfast companion on this path. As the element closest to students within the school governance structure, the PSG members transforms the trust of over 400 families into action, elevates daily observations into constructive suggestions, and integrates responsibility into every communication with parents.
Principal Meng first delivered a speech, engaging in in-depth exchanges with the Parents Committee on educational philosophy and student development goals. Dr. Max then shared the school’s plans and vision for curriculum development and student growth, aligning with international education trends. The speeches of both principals highlighted the school’s student-centered educational philosophy and further strengthened the consensus on home-school collaboration.
We firmly believe that home and school should form an educational community moving on ‘the same track, at the same pace, toward the same destination’. We look forward to the continued collaboration between new and existing committee members to safeguard the growth of our children.
More Diverse Curriculum: Co-established the ” Joint Laboratory” with Shanghai CATAVERSE, introducing cutting-edge experimental equipment; launched Japanese language courses to expand students’ pathways for further studies.
Broader Platforms: Joined NESSIC as a member school, connecting with high-quality educational resources domestically and internationally; actively pursued accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC); invited internationally renowned scholars to visit, empowering students’ growth.
All these efforts will be internalized into the “irreplaceable WUIS label” in students’ growth portfolios, helping them shine on broader stages.
The school not only focuses on academic outcomes but also places great emphasis on the learning process and habit development. The high school monthly report system has been continuously optimized, integrating goal setting, process feedback, timely intervention, and activity planning to support students’ steady growth.
Additionally, activities such as economics competitions, community service, the “Accompanying Stars” public welfare project, and high-level events organized by the Shanghai Xiehe Center have been carried out in an orderly manner, allowing students to develop their abilities and broaden their horizons through practice.
Education is not a blitzkrieg but a persistent immersion like water dripping through stone. We are committed to accompanying children steadfastly in every day, every class, and every activity.
During the Q&A session, PSG members actively raised questions on topics such as curriculum design, mental health and university guidance. School representatives provided candid and detailed responses to each question. The atmosphere was harmonious, with full communication, reflecting the deep trust and collaboration between home and school.
Home-school collaboration is at its most beautiful when we walk side by side. On the path of children’s journey toward the future, we are willing to be that warm light, illuminating the way forward for them.
“The path that shines brightly is walked by you yourself, but the lights along the way are lit by us together.”
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all PSG members for their dedication and trust. Let us continue to work hand in hand, united in purpose, and jointly write a wonderful chapter in the growth of our children!
