The Australian Mathematics Trust (AMT) is a national non-profit organization whose purpose is to enrich the teaching and learning of mathematics for students of all standards. AMT holds mathematics and informatics competitions, administer enrichment activities, conducts workshops for students and teachers, and publishes books on mathematical enrichment for Australian and international students. The AMT is based at the University of Canberra with representatives on our board from the Australian Association of Mathematics Teachers, Australian Academy of Science and the Australian Mathematical Society.
The AMT selects and supports Australia’s international mathematics and informatics Olympiad teams. The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) was introduced in Australia in 1978 as the first Australia-wide mathematics competition for students. It has become the largest single event on the Australian education calendar, allowing students to attempt the same tasks on the same day in over 32 countries and regions around the globe.
A special shout out to the students for their outstanding performance during the AMC. They have won 2 National High Distinction, 10 National Distinction, 39 National Credit and 56 National Proficiency from the exam.

Once again, CONGRATULATIONS to all award winners!
