Sunlit classrooms with ink-scented air, another school year passes, humming with recitations. In further implementation of the “Double Reduction” Policy and the fundamental mission of fostering moral development, Wuxi United International School conducted a paperless assessment activity – “Ne Zha Heroes’ Paperless Joy Adventure”– for Grade 1 and 2 students on June 19, 2025.
Prior to the event, teachers meticulously designed multiple challenges. These activities were designed to align with the cognitive and physical development of Grade 1-2 students while assessing key competencies including Language skills, Mathematical thinking and English proficiency. Through playful and interactive approaches, knowledge application was transformed into an adventure filled with exciting challenges.
The Dragon Palace echoes with crisp spelling chants. After swiftly completing their tasks, our young heroes target the palace pillars—Whoosh-whoosh-whoosh! Rings fly through the air. How cool!
Pinyin? No problem for our little whiz kids! After meeting and greeting their word friends, children leap into giant Wind Fire Wheels— Rumble-rumble! Off they roll, racing toward the finish line!
Let’s get those little minds turning! First, let’s have a speed mental arithmetic competition—only those who calculate both correctly and quickly count! The little Nezhas once again used their “three heads and six arms” to quickly complete the puzzle challenge.
The children are full of confidence in phonics, actively decoding unfamiliar words. When building towers, they use both hands and minds, staying calm and composed—so amazing!
First, the children dress up as English little magicians and cast spells with their graceful grammar. Then, they become the expression kings, squeezing eyebrows, wrinkling noses, twisting mouths, and eating the little cookies.
The children are full of witty remarks. After a semester of study, their expressive abilities have advanced by leaps and bounds. Then, they aim at the bullseye and throw sticky balls! They are lucky sharpshooters.
Now children transform into little math detectives. First, they need to describe the conditions and problems by looking at the picture, then use their brains to solve them. When finding differences, they use their incisive eyes like little Sherlock Holmes!
“Fill the gaps fluently, English sentences show their skills! Our Ne Zha heroes hit the jackpot and take all the snacks home!
Our diligent young judges from Grade 4 and 5 served with meticulous care and responsibility. Their dedicated efforts laid a solid foundation for this activity!
Paperless assessments make learning smart and bright. The activities vividly embodied the essence of “Double Reduction”. Students gained knowledge and showcased talents throughout the journey. Moving forward, our school will pioneer diversified evaluation systems, fostering well-rounded growth for every child.
May every student navigate the journey of holistic growth, riding the winds and waves toward the sun! Flourish ever brighter under its light!
