Our amazing mathematics department organized our annual Pi day here at Wuxi United International School Secondary School.
Academic ‘Pi’ Themed Kahoot interactive Quiz: Students were required to answer questions using their electronic devices such as phones and tablets. The ‘Pi’ Kahoot was done grade-wise to maintain the uniform difficulty level. Students were also be given a special task to complete at the end of the Quiz.
‘Pi’ Reciting Competition- have taken place at the coffee shop during the lunchtime. Students and some teachers recited as many correct digits of pi as possible. The event was led by Judges from the different department of the school. Winners of both competitions were awarded prizes at the end of the event.
Teachers from the various departments, Head of Grades (HoG) and the director of studies (DoS) have attended & supported the events. We also had cross-curricular links with other subjects developing transfer skills, special thanks to the English department.
During our extra curricular activity (ECA) session students had the opportunity to watch and learn from various different Mathematical video clips. The students have enjoyed the ECA session thoroughly and it was highly appreciated by the boarding head.
